go through your computer and delete files you dont need, you could also try a cleanup wizard and when your gaming use a gamebooster to enhance performance whilst gaming by shutting down unneeded background programmes

i would suggest downloading 2 things
1) CCleaner - it deletes temporary internet files to free up disk space to make ur comp run faster
http://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/
2) Gamebooster - while you run it, it shuts down programs u dont need in the background to help ur pc run what aver u need faster once ure done click restore and ur pc's back to normal
http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html

Thats pure quete from Pepper's post ages ago, sorry to copy it  :-*

haha ive been looking for ages to find that post i forget where it is haha xD and dw copying it saved me finding it   idk if the links are still valid if not type "ccleaner" or "gamebooster" in google and you will soon find them haha (BTW gamebooster is what it says in the title its only really designed for whilst on games but i think if you upgrade to pro there are some things which help the computers runnung system but idk it costs and i have never bother haha xD )

im downloading CCleaner myself again haha xD

oh and also when you start up your computer you can press i think f8 and it brings up a black screen with the white writing and theres an option that allows you to change the setting to a time they worked best or something, (btw that and c cleaner were suggested by the IT Tech from work)

The only advice I have F@ntom is to try and keep your computer away from the wall a little to allow for air circulation and periodically shut your computer off for awhile ( like maybe two days or so that you know you wont be on for awhile) But I just leave my laptop on standby (just click Shut Down and then click the drop down menu and choose Stand By) and when I start up again. You don't have to wait for Windows to start. And it goes WAY faster (for me.)

Hope this helps!

D.C I think that light is specific to your laptop/computer but w/e it is for your probly right that faster its blinking, the better. Myh WiFi router has a blinking light and the same principle is there.
