go to Speedtest.net   set the server to New York, NY    start test,

click the 'copy forum link' button and paste here... like this :D

Is there anything wrong with the speed?  :o
Well, your ping is a little high but that's normal considering your some 2450 miles away from it, but otherwise, from the info posted, your internet isn't the problem.

Austin and Def, you need to set the server to New York, NY before running the test, otherwise it is set to your closest server, which is always faster.:P

NVM def, you edited before I got the chance to correct you.::)

If you think about it, my speed is alright. I'm not using a direct connection, I'm picking up the signal from my router downstairs, so my speed makes sense.

I'll try turning off the fog hack, thanks Def. Never lagged when I had it on before though.  ???

So when you played without no fog did you lag?

Only other thing I can think of is don't run any other programmes at the same time as you play Battlefield 1942.

Please note that speeds are in megaBITS per second, not megaBYTES. A megabit is 1/8 of a megabyte, so def's speeds translate too

Down: 20.53Mbs = 2.57MBs
Up: 2.95Mbs = 368.75kBs or .37MBs

It's still fast... ;)

I played with no fog and didn't lag. Now I'm lagging even without it.
