Norton hides and blocks applications. It also makes it so you cant download already blocked applications. :-\
If its your computer, I would suggest a free copy of COMODO internet security in place of Norton. I personally hate Norton... :P http://www.comodo.com/home/internet-security/free-internet-security.php
Norton also sucks up ram like none other... which makes your game run slower, which would explain the game running more smoothly now.
Ive used COMODO with no problems for a few years now, the more you use it, the smarter it gets with what programs you want running. If you do download it, dont install Geek Buddy... most **** annoying program in the world :P
